My new town!

Same name The river”s not as fancy as in my last town layout, but as you will see in a later map, there’s a cosy, packed area of neighbour houses right in the middle around where my house is

And so those are my first 3 neigbours:

Chow. Haha, “aiya”. That’s an expression for when something goes wrong!
As for Chow himself… As a panda, I don’t like him at all. In fact, he is the ugliest, most UNcute panda I have ever seen ^^; He looks like he’s gonna get sunburnt when we goes out

Pecan. Her room is bright She’s cute when she smiles ^_^

Nan Good to have someone sane in your town.

Oh yeah, I almost forgot to show you their houses!:P

THAT’s the house type I was looking for! For that I sacrificed my native apple, triangular grass, square snow and town layout.

For that house type, I accepted a town with native oranges (which I visually like less than apples because they try to be red and try to be yellow and fail at both, so we get washy orange-coloured things clashing with the green foliage), stupid round grass (I mean, round? Grass should at least be triangular!), which means I will get star snow, which will look completely artificial…

BUT… I got my bloody house type right. Unfortunately later the 4 styles will include my LEAST favourite one. But the other 3 are much better than in my old town ^_^

Ugh…. a whole lot of Chinese visitors just came upstairs. Nothing bad about that, but Chinese people are naturally noisy, so I can’t think in English anymore .

I had both of those houses until someone seeded my town a few days ago. x_x curse you, false friends! *waves fist in air Colbert style* Have you seen the Colbert Report? Probably not, as you’re in Australia… Yay, Breeze! The last 2 pictures wouldn’t show up, the Internet connection was down the whole day. o_o Well, tomorrow is my last day in England (we leave at 5 am >_<) and then Hellooo Paris! Or should I say Bonjour? We ate at a GREAT neighborhood pub tonight, I devoured the cheese plate and midway through the meal, a BIG dog came in! It was so adorable, wagging its whip-like tail, bumping into waiters… who yes, allowed it. Then a GREAT DANE came in, so that was fun ^__^ Can't wait to meet up with Sidney and Rain again! Sorry for the long blathering post.

Oh no, your new town got seeded? o_o So you rebuilt?
Yeah, Breeze is a name I sometimes use for games. I probably got it from the Redwall series. They’re based in a fantasy world made up of mice and other woodland creatures who speak to each other in romantic English… Which is totally unrelated to anything but I like some of the names
Speaking of which, Rain is called Rain because it would be nice if we had some more of it sometimes in Australia.

Ooh, Paris. Have fun there My favourite part of Paris was the €1 punnet of cherry tomatoes we bought at the super market every evening. They were delicious!
And watch out for gypsies at tourist locations…

Okay, this is obviously a case of want-what-the-other-person-has-that-you-don’t , but I’ve always thought square grass was really nice, because it looks like outdoor tiles arranged in lovely curves! >_< Plus I think you get round snow. And round snow makes sense to me

Hi there mayu, I was searching for ACWW blogs and I came across your blog last week and I’ve been reading your archived posts ever since. Congrats on your new town! And congratulations on finally finding the town with the house type that you like. I applaud you for your bravery in restarting, I wouldn’t have had the courage to do what you did.

I love your selection of neighbours, especially Pecan. She’s one of my personal favourites and I was sad when she moved. I think you’re lucky to get oranges, because they are one of the rarer fruits to get? The more common fruits that most people get are usually cherries and apples. When I was restarting my town, I tried to get a town with oranges coz oranges are so sunny and cheery, but I couldn’t, so I settled for pear. :/ It blends in really well with the foliage of my trees, so I can say my town is really green. LOL

I’ve been meaning to ask, how do you get such clear pictures from your DS game?

Yeah, oranges aren’t as bad as I make out (We just learned in an art history lecture yesterday that oranges symbolise the goddess Venus But that’s pretty irrelevant ) And by now some more cool neighbours have moved in

I don’t do anything special to get clear pictures… It might depend on what camera you use. I recently bought mine and it’s a Lumix (Panasonic) pocket camera. There’s a Macro setting (with the icon of a flower/tulip) for focusing on things close up, for example the DS screen. Also I try not to take photos in really bright places, cos there’ll be reflections everywhere >_<
If the characters on the screen are bobbing their heads too quickly, I take about 10 shots and pick the best one later ^^;

  btw, do you know if the relationships the neighbours have with each other are real? Or are all the rumours completely random? I have a hunch most of the time it’s all randomly generated names by the AI but I keep getting the same hints that 2 of my neighbours (they are both horses) are dating or something. >_<||

    Actually I’ve been wondering about the same thing, so no help here
    I always forget who likes whom or who and who had a cat fight the moment I finish talking to the animal gossiping about them, so I’ve never given myself the chance to match it up to when the neighbours actually inform me about their relationship with someone (after quizzing me) ^^;
    
    Someone on the ACC said male and female generally get along, whereas if a female asks you about their relationship with another female, it’s more likely a negative one. But the one time I answered a neighbour based on that info, it was wrong

Hey there! Congratulations on settling on a town you like! I’ve been waiting for this post for quite awhile, heh.

I have found a town which I like, too. I may not have gotten the neighbors I desired, or a likable grass type(I’ve got square, would’ve preferred circle or triangle ones), but the neighbors I currently have now are decent enough, and I love the house types I have(All 5 of them, in fact xD).

Hopefully I will come to not care about the grass so much(as of now I can’t help but keep scrutinizing the squarish patches when I walk about), and patiently wait for the neighbors I used to love to move into my town (:

That’s lucky all your houses turned out to be nice, since you don’t know what they’ll all be when you start a new town

Teru! I’m so happy with my town! The only thing that bugs me is on one side of the river, there is only one space for me to walk by (if that made sense xp) I’m only wi-fiing with people I trust! As soon as possible, post your FC and times! And you must post what happened to Sidney and Rain!
